Creating a Dashboard Template
Prerequisites
- Creating a Dashboard, which serves as a template for the dashboard to be created.
- Access to the Settings App
Creating a Dashboard Template
- Click on the "Dashboard" menu entry in the navigation menu.
- Click on the "Dashboard Template" sub-menu entry.
- Click on the "+ Add" button to create a new dashboard template.

Creating a New Dashboard Template
Hint
No reference to the selected dashboard will be stored; instead, the structure of the dashboard will be exported. If changes are made to the dashboard, the dashboard template must be updated.
Clicking on the "+" button opens a new dialog window for creating a dashboard template. Fill in the required information and complete the necessary fields.

Specifies whether the corresponding references will be displayed under the machine in the portal app. |

Filters the subsequent selection of dashboards. |

Determines the dashboard that the template is created for. The selection will be filtered by Type. |
Location |
Determines the company location where the generated dashboards will be displayed. If the field is left blank, the machine location will be used as the default location. |
Machine Template |
Determines the machine template that the dashboard template is linked to. |
Description |
Provides a description of the dashboard template. |
The dashboard templates were created based on the selected dashboard for all machines with the linked machine template.
Selective Rollout
Hint
The selective rollout allows you to create dashboards for a specific machine based on its linked dashboard template. This offers controlled and targeted dashboard creation.
This variant is particularly useful when you want to test individual machines before rolling out the dashboard template to all machines with the linked machine template.
The process involves selecting a machine, then clicking on the "Create" button to create dashboards for that machine.
Selective Rollout
- Click on the "Machines" menu entry in the navigation menu.
- Click on the "Machine Template" sub-menu entry.
- Search for and select the desired machine from the list.
- Click on the "+" button next to the machine's name
The dashboards were created for the selected machine based on its linked machine template or underlying dashboard template.
Alternative
Alternatively, you can create dashboards for individual machines in the list view by clicking on the "Create" button (+) Dashboard erstellen.
