Machine Creation

There are two ways to create a new machine. You can either directly in the "Machines" sub-menu or you can create a machine from an existing machine template.

  1. Click on the entry "Machines " in the navigation menu.
  2. Click on the entry "Machines " in the sub-menu.
  3. Click the "" button to create a new machine.

  2. Click on the entry "Machine Templates" in the sub-menu.
  3. Find the template from which you want to create a new machine. Click the "" button to view details about the template. A new dialog window will open.
  4. Click on the "Machines" tab under the "General Information" section.
  5. Click the "" button in the "Machines" tab to create a new machine from the template.

Note: When creating a machine directly from a template, the machine will be automatically assigned to the template and its router connection, dashboards, etc.

Creating a New Machine

Clicking the "" button opens a new dialog window for creating a machine. Fill in the required information and complete the necessary fields.

Keyword Description
Machine Template The machine template whose router connection, dashboards, etc. will be inherited by the new machine.
Name Enter a unique name for the new machine.
Router The router to which the machine will be assigned (inherited from the machine template).
Company The company that provides and manages this machine.
Location The location determines the visibility of the machine. The machine is visible in the Settings App and Portal App for its location (e.g., customer enterprise) as well as for higher-level organizations in the directory structure.
Create dashboards If the selected machine template has one or more dashboard templates assigned, you can automatically generate dashboards for the new machine when creating it.
IP Address With the individual IP address of the machine, it can be connected to its router at the location. The other connection details are usually automatically inherited from the machine template.

After clicking "Send", the machine appears in the Portal App and Settings App. In the Settings App, the machine can then be edited afterwards.
